Milton Courts (b. 2004, Baltimore, Maryland, USA) is a multidisciplinary artist based in

Limón, Costa Rica. After spending his early years in Baltimore, he moved to Atlanta, where

he attended a project-based high school that encouraged experimentation across

disciplines and allowed him to deepen his commitment to the arts. Courts began playing the

harp at the age of six and discovered painting during high school. Following graduation, he

relocated with his family to Costa Rica, where art became the center of his daily life and

practice.

Working in painting, stone sculpture, and carved wood, Courts creates portraits and objects

that explore memory, identity, and the stories embedded in people and materials. His work

is characterized by expressive color, tactile surfaces, and the use of reclaimed or naturally

weathered media, reflecting his interest in the traces left by time and experience. Through

his practice, Courts seeks to preserve fleeting moments and reveal the enduring

connections between individuals, place, and the objects that bear witness to their lives.
